Karbo operates a weekly private sales window (“Karbo Mondays”) through which professional watch dealers place sealed offers on watches submitted by private sellers. Karbo is not a party to any sale concluded between a seller and a dealer. Karbo never holds the watch or the funds, takes no commission on the transaction, and does not act as an auctioneer, broker, escrow agent or payment intermediary. The sale is concluded directly between the seller and the dealer, under the terms they have both signed. Karbo does not authenticate watches and issues no certificate; verification of the goods is the buyer’s responsibility within the inspection window agreed between the parties.

Karbo takes no commission and receives no payment from either party to a sale. Because Karbo is not a party to the sale, Karbo is not responsible for the execution of the transaction, including the description, condition, authenticity or delivery of the watch, the payment of the price, or any dispute between the seller and the dealer. Each party deals with the other at its own risk, under the written agreement they have both signed. Karbo’s role is limited to operating the platform through which offers are placed and the parties are put in contact.

This site is governed by French law. Any dispute relating to its use falls within the jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules.
